Magia

Short definition:

Magia is a comparably small dimension for magical beings and people to live, meet, train, exchange goods/go shopping or to seek help. It´s outer space has the volume of approximately 3 Milky Ways, so it is pretty tiny when compared to the giant universe of god´s dimension. Magia itself is a planet with favorable conditions for living beings which´s entire ground area (seas and continents together) is about 80% of our earth’s size.

The people there are known for their unbreakable solidarity, their welcoming openness for everyone, their altruism, loyalty, kindness and for the bond they all share. The whole people are like one big family. No one that comes here is sent away, dumped or repelled, no matter how much terrible things they have done before.

Legends say that the majority of magical lifeforms came to exist because of the creation of this dimension. Other myths claim that this is where magical beings themselves come from. The truth is that almost all magical beings that do not appear in Greek mythology and have no powers due to being born as one of divine or demonic kind originate here.

While the inhabited areas are welcoming and safe, the wilderness is mostly very dangerous and mustn´t be randomly used for field days. Though it´s not explicitly forbidden, there are a lot of wild and more dangerous creatures running or flying around and just waiting for some naive tourist to enter their territory in order to devour them. It´s beautiful and fascinating.. but can immediately become one´s nightmare. That´s why one should enjoy this paradise carefully, always informing him/herself before going somewhere or, the easiest solution, go with a native, informed Magian inhabitant.

Nature

Flora

A great variety of plants grow in Magia. One can see a lot of greenlife he or she knows from the mortal world. Roses, the grass we know, tulips and herbs can be found here, even the same ones. But there is also a huge amount of plants that need magic to grow. They are not seen in the humanworld at all, but bloom in this place like nowhere else. Some of them are used to make elixirs or tea while others can already have an effect on people without having to be processed first. One can find whispering trees and flowers that glow in the dark, for example.

But this magical greenlife also has its bad sides. Some plants that exist here can be very dangerous, like huge carnivores that will occasionally attack whoever comes near them because… well, because they´re hungry? And some of them have poison that can curse you because of the magic they use to produce it. It can be really riskful, so one should inform himself about the wildlife here and meet some security measures before carelessly hiking in a magical forest.

The Wildlife is given great value and appreciated which is why the amount of plants one is allowed to take and use is extremely limited. Deforestation is restricted. If one needs fire for whatever reason, he has to call a firepuff, fire mage or look up a magic spell in the pyromancy category. Burning wood intentionally without a good reason will be punished severely. There are exceptions for extreme circumstances, but those are discussed for each case in private.

Something that doesn´t seem to grow in this dimension at all are mushrooms. There has never been seen a mushroom in this dimension before. Other parasitic plants don´t seem to exist here, either.
These used to grow here, too, but were eventually banned due to a decision made by the majority of nature-type magicians, elves and fairies. They weren´t killed, but they were taken the ability to reproduce themselves, so there would be no next generation of parasitic plants. Now they have been extinct. This is a highly criticized subject and the most frequent reason for arguments between different nature-protectors.

Fauna

The animal life here is like a mix of animals that live in the mortal world and inhabited this place eventually and mythological beings. Basilisks, thestrals, unicorns, harpies, boggarts, werewolves and other supernatural… “animals” live here, too. Some more, some less benevolent. Informing oneself is a must for new incomers before stumbling into any of these creatures. The forests are one of the most dangerous sections because of all the exotic animals and plants living there.

However, if one knows how to deal with these beings then travelling can even be quite a fun adventure. But one should know how to defend him/herself and be informed about the animals` territories and living areas.

Map (Continents and some short info on them)

Magia does not have countries as we know them from our world. It is rather split in 8 (or, with Sky Babylon, 9) areas which are inhabited if the living conditions are favorable. Magia itself is the name for 3 different things:

- the name of the planet,
- the dimension
- and it’s the name of one of its founders. (it was named after her)

Each “area” has trading centers and “living areas” as well as its own schools, etc. the trading centers would be called small towns in our world, but have their differences from towns as we know them. The main difference being that it rather makes the appearance of a bazaar with stands than a shopping street with stores.
They have technology and certainly the necessary modernity, but the majority of the Magian population prefers to keep it rural and natural wherever they can. (There are exceptions to this one, but these exceptions shall be mentioned and described in the specific documents for each area.)

Solaris:

The weather is actually pretty constant. In the plain, central region of Magia, the sun always shines. It may be a little cloudy and windy sometimes, but the sun never disappears during daytime. There are no 4 seasons, the weather is constant. This is the biggest region, it´s plain with only a few small hills and a loooot of forests and inhabitants.
The equator of the planet Magia is crossing this specific area and that´s why it is kind of always warm, but never particularly hot. The temperatures never sink lower than 18 degrees and don´t increase further than up to 25°C. It´s called Solaris. The place is famous for the Battle Area called Acies, its forests, the Legends Area and the old, historic areas of the Utopian Era. With around 110 million inhabitants, Solaris is the most populated area.

Tenebrae:

This area´s former name is “Southern Solaris” because it is a half-continent connected to Solaris, but after The Black Night (-> see Magian history) it was renamed “Tenebrae”. The constant black clouds and people that live here may be just as good and friendly as any other Magian, but they are dark. And their environment has also darkened, creating favorable conditions for dark types.
It´s caves and forests are mainly inhabited by primitive vampires (the ones that can´t think complex thoughts like Dracula can and rather behave like hungry animals), werewolves, bats, basilisks and other creatures that live in the dark. But except for those creatures, nothing will attack you here. Everything that can think and talk lives by Magia´s laws. Although a lot of evil people spend their time here, no one is allowed to commit a crime in this place. The same laws as anywhere else have to be kept here. It´s just a more comfortable dwelling or living place for beings and people that can´t cope with light as well as others. It´s not a place where crime is not punished.
Tenebrae is also the location of the biggest prison, the Carcer Scelesti, in the whole dimension and compared to all the other dimensions, the opportunities to learn black magic here are given. Though it´s forbidden to "use it for malevolent purposes", young villains can just come here, learn what they want and ruin other dimensions with it. Due to their non-existing government and extremely open and exploitable laws, Magia cannot stop this from happening. This is why many prejudge Tenebrae. Because one can learn the black magic that only the elite and the most evil can use easily. The best Elite School that teaches these Black Arts on expert level is called Palaestra Creperi which means as much as "Twilight School".
The assumption is that 5% of Tenebrae´s population consists of villains and only has a Magian ID Card because it gives them the opportunity to learn from real masters and protects them from police, angels and other juristic executives from foreign dimensions that may be after them. (This is, of course, a very naïve and optimistic assumption. As the author I can tell you that it´s somewhere between 30 and 35% of the whole population.)
Tenebrae is known for its Elite School, the huge prison, its unique darkness that cannot be found anywhere else in the dimension (at least according to Magians´ knowledge.) and the probably biggest and most realistic tunnel of horror out of all Magian fun parks. The latter is something new that didn´t even exist until two years ago here. Fun Parks in general are very.. new. When humans came to visit this dimension, after the rule that forbid humans to come loosened, they brought ideas, e.g. fun parks. Approximately 70 million people live in Tenebrae.

Ignis:

This area is a continent located in the south-eastern corner of the Magian world map and has its name from its hot summers. In spite of even being on a smaller latitude than Tenebrae and Aquarelle the weather of Ignis is hotter than in those two areas due to the lack of cold currents that are given in Aquarelle´s and Tenebrae´s case. Even the winters aren´t really cold, only cool and very, very rainy. The groundwater resource is enormous due to all the rain and most of the plants on this continent live from it in the hot summer.
This place´s temperatures near the coasts are survivable, but in the inner land.. it can reach up to 50°C in places that aren´t at least near a lake. While the costs are inhabited, the inner land area is hardly lived-in at all. There are a few small trading areas surrounding lakes, but it ends there. The number of Ignis` community members holds about 15 million people.

North and South Glacialis:

If one wants to see snow, s/he´ll have to travel to the north-western region that is… rather dangerous. It´s the locations of North Glacialis and South Glacialis. They are the home regions of powerful magical creatures that are allowed to stay in Magia, too, but are a threat to others. Ice Giants and others can be found here. This region is reputed for its high mountains and it´s icy weather. It is mainly known for Montes Draconis, the mountains of the dragons in North Glacialis and the Caverna Glaciei, a huge ice cave that is underground and as big as South Glacialis itself. It means that wherever you stand, you know there is a giant cave labyrinth under your feet. People should be careful here and avoid entering the cave underneath because no one that entered ever came back alive to tell what s/he saw and experienced there. There are a lot of speculations and made up stories about what may be down there in the icy graveyard that has already demanded so many lives.
North Glacialis is so dangerous that it´s a part of the Forbidden Area. Only few have managed to return from North Glacialis in one piece and most of them had suffered a trauma. But South Glacialis can be lived at if one is informed about the area well enough. It has its charm with all its icecrystals and polar lights. Although the Northern and the Southern continents of Glacialis are so close, they don´t touch and are therefore no half-continents. In spite of its coldness South Glacialis has a remarkable population of 60 million people.

Aquarelle:

Rain and humidity can be found in the west-southern region where a lot of watertypes reside. However, other people live there, too. It´s a lively region, like Solaris. And it has a lot of lakes, rivers and caves. This area is called “Aquarelle”. Three very special caves are the “Antrum Monstri” (The cave of beasts; only to be entered when accompanied by a qualified caver), the “Antrum Crystalis” (the source of the gems that all the ECs are made with) and the “Antrum Somni, Spei et Voluntatum” (the cave of wishes, dreams and hopes; it is told that the words you say here reach the ears of the fifth founder and come true). Other interesting visiting places are the Rainbow Lake and the Waterfall Stairs. It has an approximate population of 90 million people and is the second most inhabited Magian Area.

Discordia:

The west is actually one giant sea. In the center of this sea there is an island that consists of volcanoes and is inhabited by Phoenixes. The underwater-world is exotic and beautiful to explore while swimming or diving, but the island… phoenixes are not always friendly and they´re accompanied by aggressive animals and creatures that don´t fit into the category “animal” anymore. And it´s burning hot there, literally. This region is called Discordia, it means discord and embodies the difference between the heat of Phoenix Island and the coolness of the sea surrounding it. Under normal conditions Discordia would be an icy place, just like Glacialis, if not colder. But the constantly active volcanoes here don´t give the cool wind and the cold currents a chance to freeze the land. It´s literally covered with volcanoes and they´re all active. There´s a huge lava show on the whole island every day at every time.
If one goes swimming and dives too deep in the sea surrounding Discordia s/he may also encounter some less harmless sea monsters that don´t come up to the surface often. Except for a few phoenix wielders and suicidal loners that don´t want to live within the rest of society for whatever reason, no one lives here. Nobody has ever crossed the sea after Discordia and the Discordian islands before. That´s why the further west is unknown and a part of the Forbidden Area.

Sky Babylon:

The region of the sky is called Sky Babylon. It has five temples and is the dwelling place of the 10 guardians of Magia who form the Second Executive, the so-called Vigilia Magiae. It´s basically a comparably small island floating in about 120 miles height above the main island, Solaris. While one can see the main island underneath, the inhabitants of Magia cannot see anything else than the blue or black sky and will have to go up and check it out themselves if they want to see Sky Babylon.
The fascinating thing about Sky Babylon is that it´s not made of rocks or soil, but consists of pure Ethercrystal. The island itself wields as much magic energy as all ancient Greek gods did together. It´s a tremendous powersource and exploiting it will be punished with instant banishment at the first two attempts and with execution at the third (because it threatens the whole rest of the dimension). It is only to be used in urgent situations that put a great amount of people into danger.
Although it´s open for anyone to visit, 85% of the whole people have never seen it before because these people don´t care or fear that they may disturb the peace of the temples or that they may not be worthy of seeing it. Beside the 10 Guardians, roughly 50 angels, elves and other beings of light live here and protect the island.

The Forbidden Area:

The Forbidden Area is the grey area marked in the World Map. Including Northern Glacialis and some other dangerous islands and seas it sums up the places that one should not visit for their own safety. These places have either demanded too many lives, are not known enough or are home to dangerous and/or legendary people or creatures that react to disturbance aggressively.

It is not a crime to enter the Forbidden Area, but the people that do are out of the Airin´s (Airin = something like the Magian police; main job: preventing crimes and protecting Magians) and the Emotional Network´s reach. A group of two or three Guardians who are usually planned and busy anyway have to stop whatever they were doing and search for them.

It is unknown whether there are any foreign civilizations somewhere in the Forbidden Area. Although one person told that he met people there when he went and was thankfully found and returned alive, there is no other evidence than this person´s memory to prove it.

Trivia

- Magia has about 345 million citizens... which isn´t much in proportion with the space they have.
- 2 days in Magia equal 1 month in the normal humanworld. This was not always the case. For the first 300 years of its existence, the Magian clock would tick the same as any other dimension´s.
A dimension for a rp-verse I´ve been working on. Can be used by roleplayers from other shows, though ^^

Magia belongs to me.

Sorry it took me so long to get on doing this, I've been kind of sick and unhappy lately.

Regardless, I read through this and found it very interesting. My main problem with this wasn't the content but the grammar, let's just say the fact that English isn't your first language does show here. I could help you a little bit with that.

The laws in this land do seem a little odd, ranging from very strict punishment to liberal and at times, loophole-filled. (Killing the parasites is illegal, but removing their ability to reproduce and being able to teach black magic as long as you don't abuse it HERE is some serious loophole abuse.) I do believe you've written more on the laws in your other posts, so I can discuss it more there. For now this looks fine and the main problem is your grammar.
